PLOT

The penultimate part of the BAD BLOOD saga begins, and what an outing it has been. Buffy II decides to go to a tattoo parlour, but as she's underage the owner won't let her in, and tells her to leave. As he touches her to get her to move her skin begins to come off. Sure enough the Dark Slayer isn't too happy and beats up the man, before running home to try and fix her wounds.

The Scooby Gang, still building the clown float, are now beginning to wonder what's wrong with Buffy, and Giles tells them to send her to him. Of course they don't know that real Buffy is lying in the sewers dead, or not, as it looks like someone is caring for our Buffy, until she wakes up.

Buffy II finally arrives to meet the Scooby Gang, yet she gets angry and storms off, ignoring their points about going to see Giles. Angel meanwhile is getting closer to the source of all their problems, and nearer to Selke's hideout.

Speaking of Selke, she's not too pleased Buffy II hasn't reported to her, and takes her anger out on the Doc. Ordering her to help him search, they go out looking for Buffy II. When they find her Selke wants to give her a good thrashing, yet when she finds out the Slayer is dead, she decides to celebrate, and sends Buffy II to go and find her.

Back to Angel and he realises exactly what the Doc and Selke are up too, but before this tale can end, we finally find out just who is looking after Buffy, her 1st Evil Clone, as spoiled by the cover, and guess what Buffy II also shows up, planning on killing them both!

WRITING

Well I didn't see the first evil clone becoming good bit coming (Well I did as I saw the cover). Anyway, Watson manages to throw a twist on the revelation (if you can call it that) that Buffy is in fact alive, and it's also nice to see Angel figuring out everything that his happening, showing his detective skills that will be useful when he goes to LA. The only bit that is not convincing is the fact that none of the Scoobies suspect Buffy II as not being the real one, as even when she's been at her worst Buffy hasn't been even bitchier than Cordy.

ART

Like the previous parts, Richards work is adequate but nothing that really catches your attention. Again his Cordy and Oz are not very good, and his take on the Buffy clone gone wrong doesn't look half as frightening as Matsuda's cover.

OVERALL

Again it's nothing groundbreaking, but the final part of the BAD BLOOD saga is proving to be the best, although if Buffy is to defeat the Dark Slayer and Selke it's quite a lot to cram in. Perhaps it would have been better to deal with the Dark Slayer this month and leave Buffy's battle against Selke only for next month.
