After
the arrival of the annoying Lucy Hanover, I had feared that
The Blood of Carthage would involve plenty of Ghost Roads
style bollocks.
Fortunately,
Christopher Golden steers clear of that one as once the former
Slayer fills us in, she's gone. Hopefully never to return.
Meanwhile,
Buffy has to contend with the fact that skimping on her homework
can have major repercussions. And we're not just talking about
getting a D in her History exam.
While
the rest of the Scooby Gang sit around, Spike shows us and we
learn more about his connection with the Blood of Carthage.
Storywise,
things do seem to be picking up, although it does seem a little
bit of a "team-up against the Slayer" type of thing.
The art isn't brilliant, but there are some good things - the
flashback sequence and the effect of vampire staking.
An
improvement over part 2 then - let's hope this continues over
the next two parts. BACK
