In the
first part of the latest Angel comic story, Angel gets to beat up a
bunch of ghouls and has a run in with a group of vampire hookers.
Meanwhile,
Cordy gets bored on a date while Wesley stays at home and polishes his
weapon.
The result
is another pretty average outing.
Not for the
first time, the early fight scene seems little more than a handy way of
padding out a couple of pages, although at least it does set the scene for
Cordy's subsequent date and, well, Wesley's lack of date.
This time
around there's no need for Angel Investigations to do much detective work
following up Cordy's vision since it details the who and the
where. A quick chat with Kate Lockley gets the rest of the info, and
while Cordy goes out for dinner and Wesley stays at home, Angel meets the
scantily-clad vampires.
Perhaps
there will be some sort of big revelation in part 2, but as things stand
this story looks like it's going to be another in the growing pile labelled
"average".
