THIS WEEK IN SCI-FI #14: 19 DEC 2004-1 JAN 2005

DEAD LIKE ME DEAD

Dead Like Me, one of the best US imports of recent years, has been axed after two series. "They called me last week and said it was cancelled," series creator Bryan Fuller told Ain't It Cool News.

The Showtime series starred Ellen Muth (right) as George, a teenage girl who is killed by a toilet seat which falls from a Russian space station.

After her early demise, she is forced to become a Reaper and collect people's souls shortly before their death.

According to Fuller, MGM executives are "currently trying to find a new home for it, perhaps even the Sci Fi Channel."
