FIREFLY FX TEAM FLIES TO SERENITY

According to the Hollywood Reporter, official word has finally come down as to which special effects company will work on the CGI sequences for Joss Whedon's SERENITY movie and to no one's surprise it will be Zoic Studios, the same firm that produced the effects for the FIREFLY TV series. Zoic's creative director Loni Peristere will serve as the movie's visual effects supervisor.

"They're masters of the new technology, but not slaves to it," Joss Whedon told the Reporter. "What they did on my TV show I had never seen in a movie. What they'll do on my movie... I'm just really excited to be working with these lunatics."
