MARSTERS IS "IDEAL ROMEO"
26 APRIL 2004

ANGEL and former BUFFY star James Marsters has topped a poll to chose the ideal Romeo on the Royal Shakespeare Company's website, beating out the likes of Ewan McGregor and Orlando Bloom for the honour. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN babe Keira Knightley (right) was the choice to play the ideal Juliet.

When informed of his selection, Marsters told the BBC, "I think that the themes of violence and social disintegration are as important today as they were in Shakespeare's day."

The RSC's version of Shakepeare's tale is currently playing at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford.
