ROSWELL SEASON 1 DVD SPECS

According to TV shows on DVD, ROSWELL appears to be edging ever closer to a DVD release.

The specification for the Region 1 set allegedly sees a six disc set, with commentaries on the PILOT by David Nutter and Jason Katims, oN BLOOD BROTHER by David Nutter and Colin Hanks and by so-far-unnamed participants on 285 SOUTH, HEAT WAVE, INDEPENDENCE DAY, MAX TO THE MAX and DESTINY.

There will also be deleted scenes (with optional commentary), three featurettes, a gag reel, Actor Audition - "Tess" and a Save Yourself music video.

On the downside, a so-far unknown amount of music has been replaced and the set looks likely to be in 4:3. Although it was only shown on TV in that ratio, flashback clips in season two were in 16:9, indicating that the first season was also shot in widescreen. (However, there is a possibility that, like BABYLON 5, season one's effects were only shot in 4:3.)

A release date of 17 February 2004 is rumoured for the Region 1 set, but there is currently no hard news on non-North American releases. BACK TO THE TOP
