Thank you for coming down to the show.

Hannigan: Thanks for having me.
KB:
So what are you here talking about - your new series?
AH:
Yes, well, I guess. Season three is coming out on video
in Europe.
KB:
Okay.
AH:
And so I'm here signing a bunch of those.
KB:
Everyone coming down to say hello to you?
AH:
That's nice.
KB:
You should be very appreciative 'cos it's been raining and everything.
Before we chat some more I think we should a look at you in
action.
AH:
Uh-oh, okay.
KB:

KB:
Okay, we've got a caller on the line for you already.
Our phones have been jammed because everyone's known
you're coming on the show. What's his name?

KB:
Nihan. I knew it was something unusual. Are you
there Nihan? Hello.
Caller:
Hi.
KB:
Oh, it's a girl! Hello, what's your question for Alyson?
Caller:
You know you had a part in American Pie?
AH:
Yes.
Caller:
Have you got any other movies lined up?
AH:
I've done a couple but I don't know when they're coming out.
I did an independent movie that was... it still hasn't been
released in the States so your guess is as good as mine.
But right now I'm vacationing.
KB:
Are you doing another Buffy series?
AH:
Yes. We're going to start our season five next month.
KB:
Cool.
AH:
You'll get that in a couple of years.
KB:
In a couple of years? We get everything like the last
time out of everyone else.

KB:
We're joined Alyson Hannigan from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Now why do you think Buffy's been such a big success?
AH:
Well, I think it's a mixture between the writing and the cast
and the clothes - and the guys, you know. I think it's
just a combination of everything but I think when it comes down
to it it's just a really good show.
KB:
It's got some really attractive people in the show hasn't it?
I watched it the other day.
AH:
Yeah. Cute boys.
KB:
I was at home alone and I put it on and it was when all the
vampires came out and I got really frightened. I had to
turn over 'cos I was at home alone. So, do you hang out
with any of the cast?
AH:
Oh yeah. I see all of them really. In fact, Tony
[Head], who lives just outside of Bath, I'm gonna go and see
him this weekend. I'm gonna see people more over here
than I am in the States 'cos we're all so busy with our own
lives.
KB:
Yeah, I guess so.
AH:
But we talk all the time during our vacation.
KB:
Okay, we've got this celebrity sketchpad here and what I want
you to do is to do a self-portrait. We've got loads of
popstars...
AH:
Oh my goodness.
KB:
...and actors, and we get loads on this show. Look, they're
not that high a standard as you can see. Just do the best
job you can. But we'll give you that and we've got Daniel
on the line. Hello, Daniel.
Caller:

KB:
What's your question, Daniel.
Caller:
Where do you think you're going to be in five years time?
AH:
Oh, jeez. I don't know. I hope I'm still acting
and I hope that I have...
KB:
Do you think you'll still be in Buffy in five years time?
What do you think?
AH:
I don't think so. I don't think it would last another
five years.
KB:
Do you think you should quit while you're at the top while everyone
knows, so it becomes bit more of a cult thing?
AH:
I don't know. I think it's really dependent on Joss Whedon,
our creator, when he gets tired of it, I think that's when it
should...
KB:
What if Buffy decides to leave? Sarah Michelle Gellar
- do you think you'd call it a day then? Or just get a
new one in? Or maybe take her place?
AH: I
don't know, I guess that's up to Joss, you know? But we
have a good couple of years left in us.
KB:
Okay, so what are you doing after you've done this show?
I hear you're going on a bit of a holiday.
AH:
I am.
KB:
Where are you going?
AH:
I'm just gonna travel around, you know, in Ireland...
KB:
You know we've got The Corrs on? Have you heard of The
Corrs?
AH:
Yes...in fact, yes. Just recently.
KB:
So they are from Ireland, so you should ask them where to go.
AH:
I should say, "where are the spots?"
KB:
Exactly! See, it all comes together! Right, we're
going to play a song for you. What song would you like?
AH:
Errr...Five...
KB:

They just came out. I just signed a bunch.
KB:
I was going to say that we had a phone call from somebody who
